The Sweet Osmanthus design stands out with its unique approach to packaging design. Yunxin Chen, the designer behind this project, explains that the team chose to use pure materials from nature, sweet osmanthus, and grape juice, to create a wine that is truly natural. This emphasis on purity and authenticity sets Sweet Osmanthus apart from other wines in the market.
The dimensions of the Sweet Osmanthus packaging are 230mm x 90mm x 90mm, making it compact and convenient for storage and transportation. Its sleek and elegant design adds a touch of sophistication to any dining experience.
The inspiration for the Sweet Osmanthus design came from extensive research into Jiangnan culture. The design team consulted ancient books, visited Jiangnan cities, conducted questionnaires, and conducted visual research to gain a deep understanding of the region's unique cultural heritage. In the eyes of Chinese people, Jiangnan represents more than just a district; it embodies a distinct culture that is cherished and celebrated.
One of the main challenges faced during the design process was how to effectively portray the rich history and culture of Jiangnan. The team successfully visualized significant events from the past three thousand years, using modern design skills to create a captivating Jiangnan picture. The result is a packaging design that beautifully captures the essence of Jiangnan gardens and their significance in Chinese culture.
The Sweet Osmanthus design has received recognition for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity. In 2020, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
The Sweet Osmanthus wine is available in restaurants of KWEI MUN LUNG nationwide and online. By experiencing this unique blend of Chinese wine and Jiangnan culture, consumers can embark on a sensory journey that celebrates the beauty and richness of Chinese heritage.
